Every election 250+ civic minded Madison Countians sign up to serve as poll workers.  The pay for this position is $125 per election.  These are the individuals on the ground election day ensuring everyone has the right to vote.

To serve you must be:

    1. 18 years of age (or 18 years old on election day);
    2. Registered to vote in Madison County;
    3. Willing to work from 5:00am to 7:00pm on either the Primary and/or General Election Day; and
    4. Willing to attend Election School Training.

Currently a Poll Worker?

The Madison County Board of Elections set the dates for the 2011 General Election School.  All poll workers are required to attend at least one class.

Directions to the Election School 

Traveling in on I-75 from the North or South... Take Exit 83, the "Duncannon Lane" exit. From North, turn left off of the ramp. From the South, turn right off the ramp. This is Duncannon Lane. Drive approximately 3 miles. The Extenstion Office is located in a brick building on the left.  
Coming from Richmond or Berea on US 25... Turn onto Duncannon Lane. Travel ¾ mile. The Extension Office is a brick building on the right.
